A Passion To Help

Robert McKiernan, the esteemed former Red Hook Principal in Red Hook, NY, has exemplified an unwavering commitment to his community throughout his illustrious career. Even during his high school years, McKiernan displayed remarkable dedication by actively participating as a stagehand, audio and light technician for the renowned Penguin Rep Theater in Stony Point. It was within these formative years that he developed a profound appreciation for the arts and their transformative power in shaping individuals and communities alike. Interestingly enough, it was through this involvement with theater that McKiernan's path intersected with his future English teacher who also happened to be the artistic director of the theater – a serendipitous encounter that would leave an indelible mark on both their lives.

A Family Man First

In January 2022, our family in Red Hook, NY faced a daunting challenge: ovarian cancer. The uncertain journey that ensued from February to June tested our resilience and courage while Annemarie underwent chemotherapy. Despite her physical and emotional exhaustion, she possessed an admirable determination to persist against the odds. After exhaustive consultations and monitoring, we're grateful that Annemarie's battle has been put into remission since those trying months earlier this year.
